# Reproducible synthetic examples V6

These files use hand-chosen teaching values only. They contain no market feed, user trade, customer record or provider data. The fixtures, generator and charts are released under CC0-1.0. This permission applies only to this example, not to Stochastly or cited papers.

The return series is four periods: `4%, 2%, -2%, 0%`. The benchmark return and minimum acceptable return are both zero. The page uses population standard deviation, the full four-period count for downside deviation, and no annualization. The round trip uses one hypothetical gross return of 0.40%, two fills, and per-fill commission 0.05%, spread allocation 0.02%, slippage 0.03%, all against one notional. These values are pedagogical assumptions, not defaults for a market or evidence of trading performance.

From the repository root, run:

```text
py -3 site/public/repro/generate.py
py -3 -m unittest discover -s site/tests -p 'test_repro_v6.py'
```

`generate.py` deterministically writes `returns.csv`, `costs.csv`, two SVG charts, `results.json` and `SHA256SUMS.json`. The latter contains SHA-256 hashes of all generated fixtures and is checked by the test. The generator itself and this README are source files, so review their diff before accepting changed hashes. Running it again must leave every generated byte unchanged. The chart is a drawing of the CSV values; it is not a screenshot of the application.
